We want to help battery and car manufacturers recover production material and batteries quickly and fully. To do this, we are building a comprehensive network of collection stations and recycling locations in Europe with leading recycling technology.
2024 - 2026
European network
- Commencement of operations in Poland, Germany, Italy and Spain with a total capacity of 200,000 tonnes per year
2023
Industrial production
- Planning and preparation of a capacity of 30,000 tonnes per year in Poland
- Commencement of recycling operations in Switzerland with a capacity of 8,000 tonnes per year and collection locations abroad
2022
First location in Switzerland & securing of European locations
- Securing of further production and collection locations in Poland, Germany, Italy and France
- Manufacturing of industrial equipment for an annual capacity of 8,000 tonnes
- Attractive Swiss location secured on an old industrial site directly on the A1 highway in the heart of Switzerland, with excellent transport access
2021
Commencement of battery collection
- Commencement of battery collection in co-operation with strong logistics partners
- Signing of initial customer contracts worth CHF 2 million with Hyundai and ABB

Founding, financing & partnerships
- Librec is financed privately and independently
- Innosuisse project launched with Bern University of Applied Sciences, Switzerland Innovation Park Biel/Bienne, EMPA and experts from Germany
- Librec and Libattion (upcycling, second life) agree to a partnership and co-operation at the same location
- Librec and BATREC Industrie AG (Wimmis, BE) work together
- Founding of Librec AG

Concept, creation & public interest
- Innosuisse, the Swiss Federal Office for the Environment and VentureKick support Librec with grants
- Co-operation with the Swiss Auto-Recycling Foundation, auto schweiz, car importers and manufacturers, Inobat, EMPA, disposal and recycling companies in Switzerland and abroad, as well as international partners for system development and material removal
